Section 13: Bluetooth and Services
This section describes how to activate Bluetooth and configure it so other Bluetooth devices can see your device by
name.
Bluetooth
Bluetooth is a short-range wireless communications technology capable of exchanging information over a distance
of about 30 feet without requiring a physical connection. Unlike infrared, you do not need to line up the devices to
beam information with Bluetooth. If the devices are within a range of one another, you can exchange information
between them, even if they are located in different rooms.
1.
From the Home screen, press
then touch Bluetooth.

From the Home screen, open the Widget bar and touch the Bluetooth widget.
The following Bluetooth options are available:
Activation
1.
From the Home screen, press
then touch Bluetooth.
2.
Touch Turn on or Turn off or touch the Bluetooth icon to activate or deactivate Bluetooth.
Search
When you touch Search, the device searches for all available Bluetooth devices, and displays the devices found
during the search on the screen.
Bluetooth Settings
My phone’s name
1.
From the Home screen, open the Widget bar and touch the Bluetooth widget.
2.
Touch Settings.
3.
Touch the My phone’s name field, touch
to erase the current name and enter the new name for this
device.
4.
Touch Done.
