Status reports
Connection status
The Storage Mirroring Connection Status report provides information on the current status of the
Storage Mirroring connections in the environment, for the servers specified in the report.
To run the Storage Mirroring Connection Status report, select a Storage Mirroring server in the tree.
Right-click and select
Status Reports, Connections from the menu.
The following information is returned by this report:
z
Source—The name of the source server
z
Target—The name of the target server
z
Repset—The name of the replication set
z
Replication State—The status of the replication set
z
Mirror State—The status of the mirror
z
Transmission State—The status of the transmission
z
Target Paused—If selected, the target is not writing to disk
z
Connected—The timestamp showing when the connection was established
z
Running—The time the connection has been running
The following are optional fields that can be added to the report by selecting the Field Editor:
z
Server—The name of the Storage Mirroring server
z
Source IP Address—The address of the source server
z
Target IP Address—The address of the target server
Monitor status
The Storage Mirroring Monitor Status report displays information on the status of Storage Mirroring
monitors.
To run the Storage Mirroring Monitor Status report, select a Storage Mirroring server in the tree.
Right-click and select
Status Reports, Monitors from the menu.
The following information is returned by this report:
z
Server—Name of the Storage Mirroring server
z
Name—Name identifying monitor, usually the name of the server being monitored
z
Status—Integer representing the monitor status (monitoring, failover condition met, failed over)
Protected time
The Storage Mirroring Protected Time report provides information on the percentage of time that data
within a connection is considered protected.
To run the Storage Mirroring Protected Time report, select a Storage Mirroring server in the tree.
Right-click and select
Status Reports, Protected Time from the menu.
The following information is returned by this report:
z
Source—The name of the source server
z
Target—The name of the target server
z
Repset—The name of the replication set
z
Protected Time—The percentage of time the data was protected
z
Unprotected Time—The percentage of time the data was not protected
z
Mirror Time— The percentage of the unprotected time due to mirror activity
NOTE:
This report will only be available on the machine being used to monitor your Storage
Mirroring source servers. It is
NOT accessible from the machines that are being
monitored.
