Indicates a P-VOL. The numbers are the LDKC number, the CU number and the LDEV number
of the P-VOL. P-VOL
This column displays only one P-VOL even when two or more P-VOLs are selected in the Pair
Operation window. P-VOL only displays the P-VOL that has the smallest volume number.
An LDEV number ending with # indicates the volume is an external volume. For detailed
information about external volumes, see HP StorageWorks P9000 External Storage for Open
and Mainframe Systems User Guide.
Select a S-VOL. When specifying a S-VOL, you must use the two lists to select the CU image
number and the LDEV number of the S-VOL. S-VOL
You can select only one S-VOL even when two or more P-VOLs are selected in the Pair Operation
window. Cnt Ac-J Z automatically specifies the other S-VOLs. For detailed information, see the
explanation about the Select Other S-VOL(s) option.
If you select more than one P-VOL, select the S-VOL for the P-VOL being displayed. The S-VOLs
for the rest of the P-VOLs are automatically assigned according to the volume number. For
example, if you select three P-VOLs and select 01 as the S VOL for the first P-VOL, the S-VOLs
for the two other P-VOLs will be 02 and 03.
When creating more than one pair at a time, make sure that the S-VOLs to be assigned
automatically are available. If an S-VOL is not available, select the S-VOL individually.
