Use Business Continuity Manager to execute the YKMAKE command (a command for creating
a pair) on the Continuous Access Synchronous Z pair.
The system configuration returns to the original 3DC multi target configuration
Recovery with Business Copy Z configuration
If disaster or failure occurs at the primary site where the Business Copy Z secondary volume is
shared with the Continuous Access Journal Z primary volume on the local site, you can continue
business operations using the remote Continuous Access Journal Z secondary volume, and then
restore data and business operations back to the primary site. Proceed as follows using Business
Continuity Manager:
1.
Release the Business Copy Z pair using the YKDELETE command.
2.
Suspend the Continuous Access Journal Z pair using the YKSUSPND REVERSE command.
3.
Reverse the copy direction and re-establish the Continuous Access Journal Z pair using the
YKRESYNC REVERSE command.
4.
Suspend the Continuous Access Journal Z pair using the YKSUSPND FORWARD command.
5.
Reverse the copy direction of the Continuous Access Journal Z pair again to the original
direction and re-establish the pair using the YKRESYNC FORWARD command.
6.
Delete the Continuous Access Journal Z pair using the YKDELETE command.
7.
Reverse the copy direction of the Business Copy Z pair using the YKMAKE command.
8.
Release the Business Copy Z pair using the YKDELETE command.
9.
Reverse the copy direction of the Business Copy Z pair again to the original direction and
re-establish the pair using the YKMAKE command.
10. Suspend the Business Copy Z pair using the YKSUSPND command.
11. Create the Continuous Access Journal Z pair using the YKMAKE command.
