Testing Disaster Recovery Media

We recommend that you test your disaster recovery media before you have to rely on it following a

disaster. We also recommend that you create additional bootable media in case your new hardware

configuration does not support your original bootable media.
For example, if you create a bootable CD or DVD, but your new hardware does not support booting from CD

or DVD, you should also create an alternate set of bootable media like a REV storage device or other media.

To test your disaster recovery media, perform the following steps. You will not lose any data on your

system. This procedure is completely safe.
