Command Environment

Description

-lsState

This command can be run on an

SMS site server or SMS client

server.

This command lists all patch states from the specified

server and prompts the specified target server (if not

specified, then localhost) to list each patch states from

WMI namespace /root/CIMV2 for WMI class instances

of Win32_PatchState_Extended.
The list includes the following information:

TargetName

Status

Title

Type

Product

ProductID

UpdateID

-lsSystems

This command must be run on

an SMS site server.

This command lists all HP SMS clients managed by the

SMS site server. The list is obtained from WMI

namespace /root/SMS/site_ for WMI class

instances of SMS_G_System_COMPUTER_SYSTEM.

-rmUpdates

This command must be run on

an SMS site server or an SMS

database server with a specified

site code.

This command removes all HP Software Updates on an

SMS site server or an SMS database server. It removes

database entries from UpdateSummary in the SMS

database.

-rmStateAll

This command must be run on

an SMS site server.

This command removes patch states at each client

managed by the SMS site server. This command

performs the following tasks:

Looks to HP Servers from WMI namespace

/root/SMS/site_ for WMI class

instances of SMS_G_System_COMPUTER_SYSTEM

Directs each target server to remove each patch

states from WMI namespace /root/CIMV2 for WMI

class instances of Win32_PatchState_Extended

-rmState

This command can be run on an

SMS site server or SMS client

server.

This command removes all patch states from a specified

server. The command directs the specified target server

(if not specified, then localhost) to remove each patch

state from WMI namespace /root/CIMV2 for WMI class

instances of Win32_PatchState_Extended.

This command can be run on an

SMS site server or SMS client

server.

This command removes all patch states on an SMS site

server or on an SMS database server. It removes

database entries from

Software_Updates_Extended_DATA in the SMS

database.

-reset

This command must be run on

an SMS site server.

This command removes all HP Software Updates (-
rmUpdates

), patch states (-rmStateAll), and

collected patch states (-rmStateDB). This command

resets the HP Update state and assumes the standard

SMS configuration where the SMS database is located

on the SMS site server and the SMS clients are

connected by a network.
