Filtering updates using the DSUW
The DSUW has filtering capabilities to eliminate unnecessary updates from displaying on the screen. To
locate specific updates, enter part of the update name in the box under the Product column. For example,
to locate all Windows Server™ 2003 updates, enter W2003 in the box under the Product column.
Obtaining information about updates
Additional information about each update is available on the HP website. To view details about a
particular update:
1. Browse the list of updates, and select a particular update.
2. Click Information to be taken to the HP website.
Obtaining components from the network
The DSUW can automatically download the update binaries from the network shared folder or the HP
website. If the system running the DSUW does not have an FTP connection or the network folder does not
have the needed update binaries, manually import the update binaries:
