Required access rights for components used during setup
The configuration of SMS Provider on the SMS site server determines the access rights required for
components used during the setup process. SMS Provider can be local or remote to the SMS site server.
The following table lists the access rights required for each component when the setup program runs on
an SMS site server with a local SMS Provider. To obtain the proper access rights for a particular resource,
run the setup wizard on the SMS site server under a user account that belongs to the designated user
group. For example, to grant the required access rights for the SMS Provider database, run the setup
wizard on the SMS site server under an account belonging to the SMS Admins group.
