HP Updates Sync collection
The HP Updates Sync collection is the default collection for advertising the sync tool. During installation,
you can advertise the sync tool to its default collections.
Depending on the settings for the sync tool, the systems within this collection might require an FTP
connection for the sync tool to function properly. See "Using the sync tool (on page 38 )" for more
information.
HP Servers collection
The HP Servers collection enables quick identification and categorization of HP ProLiant and Integrity
servers within the SMS environment. Each collection is defined with specific query statements, enabling
you to identify systems by model type or operating system.
• HP Servers collection—Includes all HP servers and previously released Compaq servers
NOTE: The HP Servers collection name is automatically generated. The collection name is fixed and cannot
be changed during or after installation. For information about creating or modifying default collections, see
the Microsoft® website ( http://www.microsoft.com/smserver/techinfo/productdoc ).
• ProLiant Servers by Model—Includes all ProLiant BL, DL, and ML series servers and previously
released ProLiant servers
• ProLiant Servers BL—Includes all ProLiant BL servers
• ProLiant Servers DL—Includes all ProLiant DL servers
• ProLiant Servers ML—Includes all ProLiant ML servers
• ProLiant Servers by OS—Includes all ProLiant BL, DL, and ML series servers and previously released
ProLiant servers
