3 Press Return .
The Telnet Idle Time-out Period is changed.
After configuring the desired time-outs, type q to return to the
previous menu.
Changing the Password
The Change Password option allows you to change the
password needed to access the Configuration Menu.

Important ! The factory default password is
Asante . The password is case--sensitive.
To change the current Local Management Interface (Console)
password:
1 Type c in the Configuration Menu.
2 Type current password at the prompt.
3 Type a new password at the “Enter Current Pass-
word” prompt.

Important : The password is case-sensi-
tive. The password must be a minimum of
one character and a maximum of 20 char-
acters in length. The password takes any
ASCII code.
4 Press Return .
5 Type the new password again at the confirma-
tion password prompt.
To cancel this change, type ctrl-c .
6 Press Return .
The password is changed.
Type q to return to the Configuration Menu.
