TROUBLESHOOTING
Step Twelve
Factory Default: Pressing the “Factory Config” button in the Configuration menu will return the screen to the
following settings. Out of the box, the Series ULS will output a 4‐20 mA output that is maximized for its
operational range.
Series ULSS – 4 mA @ 4.1’ (1.25 m) away and 20 mA @ 2” (5 cm) away from sensor.
Series ULSM – 4 mA @ 8.2’ (2.5 m) away and 20 mA @ 4” (10 cm) away from sensor.
Series ULSL – 4 mA @ 18.0’ (5.5 m) away and 20 mA @ 8” (20 cm) away from sensor.

Testing the Transmitter
1. Connect a multimeter in series with the black wire to read the current output.
2. Verify that the current increases (tank filling) and decreases (tank emptying) appropriately in the
calibrated span.
3. If not, carefully observe and attempt to correlate any installation, level or application event for more
specific troubleshooting direction.
