4. Computer System Requirements
The computer system needed to run the Farm Manager software requires:
Operating Systems: Windows 98, 2000 and XP are supported.
System Processor: Minimum: 500 MHz Pentium 3, Recommended: 1 GHz
System RAM: For Windows 98: Minimum: 64 MB, Recommended: 128 MB
For Windows 2000/XP: Minimum: 128 MB, Recommended: 256 MB or more
Hard Drive Space: Minimum of 60 MB available, More recommended
Video: Minimum: 256 Color, HiColor (16 bit) or better recommended
Minimum: 800x600 resolution
Communications: Requires one available Serial (Com) port.
Modem required for phone dialing functions.
Voice Modem required for voice functions.
Fax Modem required for fax report functions.
5. Network Configurations
A Farm Manager network consists of an Windows compatible computer running the HH.Net Explorer software
connected to a router. The router then can connect up to 32 Farm Hand controllers in a “bus” configuration. Each
controller is a node on the
network. The Farm Manager
software polls each of the
controllers on the network and
reports to the computer for
display. The Farm Manager
software connects to the HH.Net
through a communications port
with a standard DB-9 connector.

The HHI Repeater can also be used in conjunction with the 900SS Wireless Repeater. For example, if the 900SS
module has to be mounted further than 20 feet from computer, the HHI Repeater can be used to feed a RS485
network. The HHI Repeater
would be connected directly to the
computer on the RS232
connection and the RS485
connection connected to the
900SS Module.
