Performance Monitoring of Loss Measurement Objects

Performance Monitoring of Loss Measurement Objects

The following tables are supported on Brocade 6910 switches.

Frame Loss Measurement Configuration table

The mefSoamLmCfgTable includes configuration parameters for Frame Loss Measurement.

Name, Identifier, and Syntax

Access

Description

mefSoamLmCfgTable
1.3.6.1.4.1.15007.1.3.1.2.1
Syntax: SEQUENCE OF
MefSoamLmCfgEntry

N/A

This table includes configuration attributes and operations
for the Frame Loss Measurement function defined in
[Y.1731] and [SOAM-PM]. Each row in the table represents a
Loss Measurement session for the defined MEP. Only one
row is supported, and displays information for the last
configuration session.
This table uses four indices. The first three indices are the
indices of the Maintenance Domain, MA, and MEP tables.
The fourth index is the specific LM session on the selected
MEP. A Loss Measurement session is created on an existing
MEP by first accessing the mefSoamPmOperNextIndex
object and using this value as the mefSoamLmCfgIndex in
the row creation.
The writable objects in this table must be persistent upon
reboot or restart of a device.

mefSoamLmCfgEntry
1.3.6.1.4.1.15007.1.3.1.2.1.1
Syntax: MefSoamLmCfgEntry

N/A

The conceptual row of mefSoamLmCfgTable.

mefSoamLmCfgIndex
1.3.6.1.4.1.15007.1.3.1.2.1.1.1
Syntax: Unsigned32

N/A

The index to the Loss Measurement Configuration table. The
index can never be reused for other PM sessions for the
same MEP. The index cannot be saved to the running
configuration. Upon every system boot/reboot, the index can
be set to any value. However, upon the first on-demand test
request received from the CLI/Web interface, the index is
automatically set to 1. Each subsequent on-demand test
increases the index. The index value should keep increasing
up to the time that it wraps around. This is to facilitate
access control based on OID.

mefSoamLmCfgType
1.3.6.1.4.1.15007.1.3.1.2.1.1.2
Syntax: Integer

Read-create

This attribute specifies what type of Loss Measurement will
be performed. Only the following type is supported:

lmLmm(1) - LMM SOAM PDU generated and received
LMR responses tracked.

This object can only be written at row creation time.
