3.4 Heat Dissipation and Installation
Design the control panel size, controller layout and cooling method so that the surrounding air temperature
around the controller will be kept to 40
qC or below.
Mount the controller vertically on a wall, as shown below. Since the controller is cooled by natural
convection, be sure to heed this orientation and provide sufficient clearances on top and bottom to make
sure sufficient air will flow around the controller.
If multiple controllers are installed side by side, provide an agitation fan at the top of the controllers. Also
provide a minimum clearance of 80 mm between the front panel of the controller and the wall (lid).
