14.5 Interrupting the cut
In order to ensure subsequent trouble-free
starting of the wire in the existing cut, the cut
should be "run free" for a few moments.
l Run the wire in the cut without feed until the
main pressure has dropped to
approximately 20-40 bar.
l When the wire runs with a considerably
lower main pressure, switch off the wire and
the water supply.
End of cut
l At the end of the cut withdraw from the cut
with reduced feed pressure in order to
permit perfect contact of the wire with the
swivel rolls.
l When the wire has been caught by the
swivel rolls, switch off the wire and the
water supply.
14.6 Terminating work
l Close off and disconnect the water supply
l Unplug the mains connector (power unit
and control unit)
l Uncouple hydraulic hoses
l Uncouple feed motor cables
l Uncouple the water hoses
l Wind up cables
