14.2 Tensioning the wire / Starting
Prior to starting with the machine the wire must
be pulled through by hand.
With the feed the wire must be tensioned prior
to initial use as follows:

l Set the feed to approximately 20% of the
maximum value.
l Switch on the power unit
Locate the cause of the stationary wire.
Various causes are possible:

Cleaning the toothed rack
l During work remove sludge from the
toothed rack with the supplied brush every
two hours to ensure optimum feed.
If the wire cannot not pulled by hand over
the wall, it will not start with the machine!
If the wire does not start immediately when
the machine is switched on, stop the
machine again immediately.
Warning: It is already possible at
this stage, without the wire
subjected to sawing forces, for a
bead to be spun off in the event
of a wire break, which can cause
serious injury!
