Equipment Required:
Wrenches: 10mm,13mm, 14mm
Drill Bits: None
1. LOWER MUFFLERS BY REMOVING RUBBER ISOLATORS, (2) ON DRIVER’S SIDE AND (3) ON PASSENGER SIDE. SUPPORT
EXHAUST AS REQUIRED.
2. REMOVE (2) REAR MOST MUFFLER SUPPORT BRACKETS (3) BOLTS PER BRACKET. RETURN TO CUSTOMER.
3. REMOVE THE HEAT SHIELDS, (3) SCREWS PER SHEILD.
4. REMOVE TAPE COVERING WELD NUTS ON EACH SIDE OF FRAME RAILS.
5. LOOSELY INSTALL FRAME BRACKET SUPPORTS ON OUTBOARD SIDE OF FRAME RAILS WITH FASTENERS AS SHOWN.
6. RAISE HITCH INTO POSITION AND LOOSELY INSTALL THE M10 BOLTS. THIS WILL HOLD THE HITCH UP TO EASE
INSTALLATION OF THE M8 FRAME BOLTS AS SHOWN.
7. TIGHTEN ALL FASTENERS TO RECOMMENDED TORQUE.
8. REINSTALL HEAT SHIELDS AND RAISE MUFFLERS BACK INTO POSITION. USE MUFFLER SUPPORT RODS ON HITCH TO
REATTACH THE RUBBER ISOLATORS.
Tighten allM10 fasteners with torque wrench to 42 Lb.-Ft. (57 n*m)

Tighten all M8 fasteners with torque wrench to 27 Lb.-Ft. (37 n*m)
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to
prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working
beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5
and SAE J684.
