between hitch and bumper.
1.
On newer model trucks it is necessary to trim or cut opening in plastic air dam attached to bottom of bumper.
2.
It may also be necessary to remove existing frame end brackets if present. See above.
3.
Position hitch and install fasteners as shown above. Using 5/8” bolt leader to pull 5/8” carriage bolt into frame slot.
4. Torque fasteners to specifications below.
Tighten all 9/16” GR5 fasteners with torque wrench to 110 Lb.-Ft (149 N-M).
CONSULT VEHICLE OWNER BEFORE TRIMMING OR CUTTING PLASTIC AIR DAM.
Tighten all 5/8” GR5 fasteners with torque wrench to 150 Lb.-Ft (203 N-M).

Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body
panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety
precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
