UPDATING THE DEVICE
The device can be updated thanks via RS232 communication port or via LAN communication port of a computer (PC).
1) Switch ON the device.
2) Open the file : Octo Value Updater (in Start > Program > ANALOGWAY > Octo Value Updater).
3) Click on the Port menu and select setup : the Communication setup window open.
- If you use the RS232 port : Select RS232 and the Com port connected to the device.
- If you use the LAN Port : Select UDP or TCP and select the communication parameters.
4) Click on START on the software. The update will start.
5) When the software displays : Program operation completed, click on the Quit button to close the update
software. Your device is now ready to work.
1) Connect the device to an AC power outlet.
2) Switch ON the device (REAR PANEL SWITCH = I).
3) Connect the device to the computer used for the update via the desired communication port.
- For the RS232 communication port : Connect the RS232 connector of the device to the serial port of your
computer with a DB9 M/F straight cable.
- For the LAN communication port : Connect the RJ45 connector of the device to your network according to
your installation. Then with the front panel display menu configure the LAN communication port (CONTROL >
LAN setup) and activate the LAN communication port (CONTROL > RS232/LAN port > LAN).
