query response.

NOTE:

The SMX can send out unsolicited information (such as a notice of a change in input or some other setting). This is a

verbose (wordy) relationship between the switcher and a connected device. For a direct RS-232 or RS-422 connection,

the SMX is set for verbose mode by default. When the SMX is connected via Ethernet, verbose mode is disabled by

default to reduce the amount of communication traffic on the network. If you want to use verbose mode with a

switcher connected via Ethernet, you must set this mode to On each time you reconnect to the SMX.
