Wheel Changing Procedure
Wheel Changing Procedure
Note: Perform the following procedure with the wheels
off the ground to prevent the tires from losing bead
seal. Refer to Figure 19.
Preparation
To ensure your safety, perform the following steps
before doing any service that requires removal of tires
and wheels.
1. Set the brakes and block the wheels to prevent
vehicle movement.
2. Raise the non-drive axle and support with a
jackstand of adequate capacity.
Warning: Never work on a vehicle supported only
by a jack.
Wheel Installation
Mount the wheel and follow the Wheel End Air Line
Installation procedures earlier in this section.
