Two communities from Washington responded to the fee section of the questionnaire. One respondent
represented a community of 10,000

30,000 residents and the remaining community ranged in size
from 30,001 to 50,000 citizens. Being that the data sets are few in numbers the results are
summarized in the bullets below:

Results corresponding to the city of 10,000 to 30,000 citizens:

Site Plan Review fees range from $40 to $90 per hour;
o
Fees attributed to Site Plan reviews that are associated with a Conditional/Special Use
Permit are $346;
o
Additional fees associated with information requests originating with a reviewing body
are as follows: Environmental Review - $800, Plat - $1,200, Design Review - $200.

Results corresponding to the city of 30,001

50,000 citizens:
o
Fees associated with Site Plan Review, Review of an Amended Site Plan (minor and
major revision), Site Plan review associated with a Conditional/Special Use Permit
charges $116 per hour for review. The respondent did not indicated if the city required a
minimum deposit;
o
No fees are charged to an applicant if additional information is required by a reviewing
agency;
o
Additional fees attributed to review a site plan that was subject to resubmission totals
$116 per hour.
