When sending Program Change messages to the MIDISPORT’s IN8, program
numbers 01 through 08 will be accepted and will switch from Patchbay Program
1 through 8 respectively. Above 08, the program numbers wrap-around.
For example, program 09 selects MIDISPORT 8x8/s user program 01, program
10 selects MIDISPORT 8x8/s user program 02, etc.

The MIDISPORT will accept program change messages while in any mode
(except for Cable Test). The patchbay routing setup, however, is only available
when the MIDISPORT is in Patchbay Mode. When the MIDISPORT 8x8/s
powers up for the first time, it configures itself to program number 00 by default.
Once the program number has been changed, the MIDISPORT will always
remain on the last program number in use before the MIDISPORT was powered
down.

Changing Programs Using the Front Panel Reset Switch

The front panel “Reset” switch may also be used to cycle the MIDISPORT
through the eight patchbay program settings that have been configured by the
remote control. The Reset switch will also display the current program number
in use.

1. Press in the Reset button and hold it for two seconds. All of the MIDISPORT
“In” LEDs, except for the number corresponding to the currently selected
patchbay configuration, will light. You may release the Reset button at this time
if you wish to retain the current setting. The remaining seven LEDs will stay lit
for another moment.

2. The MIDI In LED number of the last patchbay configuration used will remain
unlit, indicating that that patchbay program number is the current setting.

3. Continuing to hold in the Reset button will begin to cycle the MIDISPORT
through all eight of its patchbay programs, the unlit LED indicating the current
program number. Releasing the Reset button will set the patchbay program
number to the number of the corresponding MIDI In LED currently unlit.
