4.2.3 Numerical Information Area (NIA)
The Numeric Information Area (NIA) is found at the bottom of the moving map screen. There are 5
windows in the Numeric Information Area. They are designed to be easy to access in flight. The NIA is
usually minimized to maximize space for the map, but it expands to show labels when it is accessed
using the Focus button
. All of the windows in the NIA can be edited. You can edit the MacCready
and Wind data and you can select from several display options for the Vario, Task and Altitude
windows. The Task Window is also used to start tasks, move through task legs and toggle the Final
Glide Window display between glide to the next waypoint, or glide to the end of the task.
