Setting
Up A Job
(continued)
4. Lower only the H-Blocks that come in direct
contact with the material and let them touch the
material.
5. Lock each separator in place. When lowering the H-
Blocks, check that the material is between the sepa-
rator tabs and the feed roller.
Setup Example Using #10 Envelopes:
1. When you set the feed gap for a #10 envelope, note
that the width of the envelope will fall completely un-
der the inside and middle H-Blocks, but only half way
under the outer H-Block. Follow steps 2 through 4 to
fix this.
2. Remove the sliding fence.
3. Place a second envelope next to the first, under the
outer H-Block. Place the second envelope flap down
with the short edge under the outer H-Block.
4. Lock the separator in place.
NOTE: If the separator gap is not set properly, the
printer will misfeed.
• If the gap is too big, the printer will feed doubles
(two or more pieces at the same time).
• If the gap is too small, material will jam at the
feed roller entrance.
