(3)•••When using the navigation system with
the regular Pioneer Head unit.
➞ Dip switch 4 is not to be used. ( It is does not
matter whether it is ON or OFF.)

ON: Volume of Pioneer Head Unit (including Pio-
neer AV master unit) is adjusted.
OFF: Volume of the voice guidance of Navigation
system adjusted.

About the difference in the oper-
ation of the Remote Control
(AVIC-9DVD)
If the Remote Control included with AVIC-9DVD
is used, there will be the following changes in
operation:
Switching the screen
As you press the V.CHANGE button, the map
screen of the Navigation System or the display of
the audio screen is selected.
Using PGM function
You can use the PGM button. However, even if
the Operation mode switch is set to “DVD”, you
cannot turn the DVD power on or off.
Starting voice operation
Press the TALK button while the Operation
mode switch is set to “NAVI”. (It is canceled if
the mode is set to “DVD”.)
Switching the screen display (display
of frequency, etc.)
You cannot do this with the Remote Control
included with the AVIC-9DVD. If the AV Head Unit
is combined, you can do this with the AV Head
Unit.
Playing the Built-in DVD player
Press the control stick while the Operation mode
switch is set to “DVD”.
Frame by frame playback and slow
motion playback
Push the control stick up while the Operation
mode switch is set to “DVD”.

appropriate settings for your sys-
tem.
AVIC-90DVD
Read the “Hardware Manual” of
AVIC-90DVD to make appropriate
settings for your system.
