Combining and Using Pioneer AV Equipment
XM
You can use Pioneer AV Head Unit (AVH-
P6400CD or AVH-P6400) to control XM satellite
digital tuner (GEX-P910XM), which is sold sepa-
rately. For details concerning operation, refer to
the XM tuner’s operation manuals. This section
provides information on XM operations with Pio-
neer AV Head Unit which differs from that
described in the XM tuner’s operation manual.
❒ This cannot be used unless the AV Head Unit
is combined and the source unit is connected
by IP-BUS.
(1) XM band indicator
Shows the XM band which has been selected.
(2) XM channel name
Shows the channel name of the broadcast chan-
nel.
(3) XM preset number indicator
Shows what XM preset has been selected.
(4) XM channel number indicator
Shows to which XM channel number the tuner is
tuned.
(5) XM channel select setting indicator
Shows what channel select setting has been
selected. Channel number is displayed when
“CH NUMBER” is selected, and category is dis-
played when “CATEGORY” is selected.
How to listen to the XM

Press SOURCE button to select the XM.

Use VOL dial to adjust the sound level.

Press the BAND/ESC button to select a
band.
Press the BAND/ESC button until the
desired band is displayed, “XM1”, ”XM2” or
“XM3”.

Select the desired channel with
2 or 3.
Displaying the XM MENU

Press the A.MENU (AUDIO) button when
source is XM.

Select “XM TUNER” and press the
A.MENU (AUDIO) button.
The XM MENU is displayed as follows:
CH.SELECT MODE
P.CH RECALL
P.CH MEMORY
You can operate a desired function. For details,
refer to the pages for each of the functions.
❒ Select “BACK” in the menu display or press
BACK/FUNC button to return to the previous
display.
❒ To cancel the menu, press the BAND/ESC
button.
❒ If you do not operate the function within about
30 seconds, the menu is automatically can-
celed.

You can switch if you select a channel with a
channel number or from a channel category
when you select a channel.
