I see data in my patient's
meter that is not displayed
in the OneTouch
®
DMS
Reports.
The problem is most likely due to a meter date that was
set incorrectly. As an example, if the year in the meter is
incorrectly set to 2014, and the meter is subsequently
used for testing, records in the meter memory will have
dates in the future. When the meter is downloaded to
OneTouch
®
DMS, the software may not “find” readings
because the Software is looking for blood glucose data
in the current year.
The following suggestions may help:
1) Use the Data List Report to see glucose readings since
the last download. Select “Since last transfer” as the Date
Range in the Data List Report. This will display all readings
since the last download in the order in which the glucose
tests were taken (as opposed to the calendar date order-
which could have been affected by incorrect date settings
in the meter). This feature is not available if you have
transferred results from a OneTouch® UltraSmart® Meter.
Or
Select “Latest 14 days” when specifying the Date Range
for viewing and printing Reports. This will show if there
are any glucose results stamped with dates that are not
the current year.
and
2) The data from the meter set to year 2014 are still in the
database and in the meter. To prevent future problems,
you should:
■
Archive and delete the records with dates in the
future
■
Clear the meter so that the data is not downloaded
again
and
3) Set the meter to the correct date and time.
