Checking chain sliding guard

– Check the chain sliding guard for wear at the opening.
» If the rivets  of the chain are no longer visible at the lower edge  of the opening
of the chain sliding guard:
– Change the chain sliding guard.

Checking front brake discs
Warning
Danger of accidents Reduced braking effect caused by worn brake discs.
– Have worn brake discs replaced immediately in an authorized KTM-RC8 workshop.

– Check the thickness of the brake disc in several places to see if it conforms to measure-
ment  .

Wear reduces the thickness of the brake discs in area  of the brake discs.
Brake discs - wear limit
front 4.0 mm (0.157 in)
» If the brake disc thickness is less than the specified value:
– Change the brake discs. x
