If you have to place the camera on an inclined surface,
make sure that the inclination is less than ±15 degrees,
so that the pan/tilt performance is guaranteed.
Notes
• You should take an appropriate countermeasure to
prevent the camera from falling.
• Do not grasp the camera head when carrying the
camera.
• Do not turn the camera head by hand. Doing so may
result in the camera malfunctioning.
To attach the camera to a tripod
Attach a tripod to the screw hole used for attaching a
tripod on the bottom of the camera.
The tripod must be set up on a flat surface and tightened
firmly by hand.
Use a tripod with screws of the following specifications.
To attach the VCL-HG0862K wide
conversion lens
The optional VCL-HG0862K is a 0.8-magnification
wide conversion lens.
Insert the lens in the camera while pressing the release
button on the lens, and turn the lens clockwise until it
clicks into place while holding the release button. Check
that the center mark on the lens is aligned with the tally
lamp on the camera.
To remove the lens, turn the lens counterclockwise until
it clicks while pressing the release button, then remove
the lens while holding the release button.
Caution
To prevent the wide conversion lens from falling, be sure
to pay attention to the following:
• Check that the lens will not turn after attaching it to the
camera.
• Do not use the camera with the wide conversion lens
attached in locations subject to strong vibration or
shock.
• Check periodically, at least once a year, to ensure that
the lens attachment has not loosened. If conditions
warrant, make periodic check more frequently.
Notes
• When using the wide conversion lens, remove the lens
hood supplied with the lens.
• Proper operation is not guaranteed when using a wide
conversion lens other than the VCL-HG0862K.
• Before shooting with the wide conversion lens
attached, check the optimum picture quality can be
obtained.
• When you shoot with the wide conversion lens
attached in the telephoto mode, you may have a
feeling that the resolution is lower.
• When you shoot with the wide conversion lens
attached in wide end mode, the peripherals of an

screw holes should not be done for installation on a
ceiling or a shelf, etc. in a high position.
