Note –
The
speed

duplex
, and
link-clock
parameters are optional tests. See
for more information about these parameters.
The following default tests are run when you execute the
test
command:

MAC internal loopback
■
1000 Mbps PHY loopback
■
100 Mbps PHY loopback
■
10 Mbps PHY loopback
Refer to the appropriate OpenBoot Command Reference Manual for more information
about the
test
command.
Note –
To test all of the interfaces of the adapter, you need to execute the
test
command separately for each
SUNW,ce
interface.
If all of the tests pass, you will see these messages:
If the adapter’s interface is not connected, you will see the following error message:
Note –
If the
test
command fails, verify that the adapter hardware is installed
correctly and the Ethernet device is connected to an active network. If necessary,
replace the adapter or contact your service provider for support.
