Call Setup Options
You can configure the following calling options:
ⅷ
Abbrev. Dialing
to prepend the first five or six digits (for
example, the area code and prefix) to any four or five
digits you enter.
ⅷ
Contacts Match
to retrieve any number saved in your
Contacts by entering only the last three to six digits of
the number.
ⅷ
Restriction
to restrict incoming or outgoing calls on
your phone.
ⅷ
Call Answer
to set up how you answer incoming calls.
ⅷ
Auto-Answer
to answer incoming calls automatically
when using an optional hands-free car kit.
Setting Abbreviated Dialing
To activate the Prepend feature:
1.
Press
Menu > Settings > More... > Call Setup >
Abbrev. Dial > On
.
2.
Enter the first five- or six-digit prefix in the
Abbrev.
Dial
field and then press
.
Ⅲ
To deactivate this feature, select
Off
during step 1
above.
To activate the Contacts Match feature:
1.
Press
Menu > Settings > More... > Call Setup
.
2.
Select
Contacts Match > On
.
Tip
To make an Abbreviated Dial call, see “Using
Abbreviated Dialing” on page 33.
Note
This setting does not apply to 911 or Sprint 411.
