Display Settings
Changing the Text Greeting
A text greeting is displayed on your phone’s screen in
standby mode. Choose the phone’s default greeting
(“Sprint”) or enter your own custom greeting.
1.
Press
Menu > Settings > Display > Main Screen >
Foregrounds > Greeting.

Select
Sprint
or
Custom
.

If you select
Custom
, enter a custom greeting and
press
. (See “Entering Text” on page 35.)
(Use the
key to erase the existing greeting.)
Changing the Backlight Time Length
Select how long the display screen, keypad, and Java
applications remain backlit after any keypress is made.
To set the main display time length:
1.
Press
Menu > Settings > Display > Backlight
.

Select a time setting and press

To set the keypad time length:
1.
Press
Menu

Settings
>
Display > Keypad Light.

Select a time setting and press

To set the Java applications time length:

Activating the PowerSave Mode

Note
Long backlight settings reduce the battery’s talk and
