Exchanging Information with
Your PC (PC-Link)
Using the included OZ-800 PC software (OZ-800 Synchronization Software and
WIZARD STATION) and cable, you can exchange data with a PC. This makes it
possible to transfer e-mail messages from your PC to the unit and read them while
outside your home. You can also install Add-on software from your PC to the unit.
PC software set up
1.
Turn off your PC and unit before connecting them with the supplied cable.
2.
Connect the standard 9-pin connector of the supplied cable to one of the Serial
Ports on your PC.
3.
Connect the supplied cable to the PC-Link port of the unit.
4.
Turn on the unit and your PC.
The connection between the unit and your PC is automatically established and
the unit is now ready to exchange data.
Note:
• Press
at any time to exit the PC-Link mode. If you leave the unit in PC-
Link mode, more power is consumed from the batteries than usual, and the
Auto-off function will not work.
To conserve battery power, always press
to leave the PC-Link mode as
soon as you have finished transferring data.
• For e-mail synchronization, only the e-mail message in the Inbox folder will be
synchronized between the unit and your PC.
• For details on exchanging information with your PC, refer to the separately
supplied Quick Start Guide and Software Guide.
