Note:
• If you forget the password, but you have not yet turned the unit off, you must
delete all secret entries and the password from the unit. As a safeguard, be
sure to make a written record of the password.
• If you forget the password and have already turned the unit off, you must do a
complete reset of the unit. When you do a complete reset of the unit, all data
in the unit will be deleted. See page 115 “All reset operation” for further details.
To use the Secret application
1.
Highlight the “Secret” icon on the Main menu screen by using .
2.
Press .
The Secret screen appears.
If you press
(or tap the close box), the Secret screen returns to the Main
menu screen.
Setting a password and locking the unit
1.
On the Secret screen with “Lock” highlighted, press
(or tap “Lock”).
The Lock screen appears.
2.
Enter a password within 20 characters.
Entered characters are displayed as “ ”.
Letters, numbers, and symbols can all be used. The text field is case-sensitive,
which means that upper and lower case letters are treated differently. The
password “SHARP”, for example, is different from the passwords “Sharp” or
“sharp”.
