Formatting a disc (cont’d)
VR mode is the default recording
format for DVD-RW. You can
change it to Video mode from the
setting menu.

Press SETUP.
Easy Setting Menu or Advanced
Setting Menu will appear.

Select “Disc” using
Cursor K / L, then press
ENTER.
Disc menu will appear.

Select “Format” using
Cursor K / L, then press
ENTER.
Confirmation window will appear.

Select “Yes” using
Cursor K / L, then press
ENTER.
Final confirmation window will
appear.

Select “Yes” using
Cursor K / L, then press
ENTER.
Formatting will start.

Formatting is complete.
“100%” will be indicated.

Note
• When you reformat the disc,
all contents of the disc will be
erased.
• If you want to cancel refor-
matting at STEP 4 or 5, select
“No”.
• A disc once formatted with
this unit cannot be used on
other DVD recorders.
