TROUBLESHOOTING (ENGINE CONTROLLER)
This generator is equipped with an electronic governor for
unit injection system. The engine controller (Figure 73),
consists of a display, switches, trimmer, etc., for monitoring
and for controlling the engine.

The defi nitions below describe the controls and functions
of the Engine Controller (Figure 73).
Display 1. — Displays engine malfunctions. When the
engine starts and the controller turns ON, various
engine parameters will be checked within about 10
seconds. If the engine system is normal and working
correctly the display will show "00".
If the engine controller detects an engine malfunction
(parameter abnormality) an "E" will be displayed
followed by the error code and the type of failure.
Reset Button 2. — To clear the display after a fault or
abnormal parameter has occured, press and hold this
button for one second. This will reset the display.
