4.1 Installation procedure
The following installation steps are described in detail in the following sections
of this chapter:
● Unpacking the system unit (see section "Unpacking the system unit" on
page 40 ).
● Installing the system unit in the rack (see section "Installing the system unit
in the rack" on page 41 and configuration diagram on the order lists).
● Connecting the cables of the system unit (see section "Connecting devices
to the system unit" on page 51 ). Please also read the section "Instructions
for connecting/disconnecting cables" on page 56 .
● Connecting the system unit to the mains (see section "Connecting the
system unit to the mains" on page 52 ).
4.2 Unpacking the system unit

CAUTION!
Make sure you observe the safety notes in the chapter "Important notes"
starting on page 27 .
Only unpack the system unit at the place where you want to set it up.
The system unit must always be lifted or carried by at least three people.
(For the Japanese market, please refer to "
安全上のご注意 ").
Keep the original packaging of the system unit, as you may need it for future
transport (applies only to EMEA market).
Ê Unpack all the individual parts.
Ê Check the delivery for any damage during transport.
Ê Check whether the items delivered match the details on the delivery note.
The product name and serial number of the product can be found on the type
label.
Ê If the delivery is damaged or does not match the delivery note, contact your
supplier immediately!
