Removing the CD Player PCA
(HP Authorized Service Providers Only)
Required Equipment
•
Small Phillips screwdriver.
Removal Procedure
1. Unplug the AC adapter, if present, and remove the battery.
2. Remove these additional assemblies:
•
Keyboard cover (page 2-9).
•
Keyboard (page 2-11).
•
Display assembly (page 2-17).
•
Top case (page 2-19).
3. Remove both standoff screws (requires a 5mm socket driver), and lift the PCA out of the top case.
