Note: Digital recording will automatically be done in the STD mode.
11 Press the PROGRAM button to set the program in memory.

12 Press the POWER button to turn off the VCR.
The delayed recording indicator will display on the VCR.
This tells you that the VCR will automatically record at the times and dates
you have programmed.
• If you are using a cable box, you must select the channel you want to
record on the cable box (in this case 8); and turn on the cable box.

Note: You can correct any item entered as you go by pressing the CLEAR/EXIT
button repeatedly until the digit to be corrected changes to white dash "–" on the
screen. Then enter the correct number. Illogical times and dates won't be
accepted.
To stop recording while in the timed recording mode:
1 Press POWER button.
2 Press the STOP button within 10 seconds.

• This can be done either on the VCR or with the remote control.
When you have set up all the timed recordings you want:
• Don't forget to load a videocassette (with the safety tab still attached) to
record on.
• If using a cable box, turn on the cable box and tune it to the channel you
want to record before the time the recording is to begin.
• If you use a DSS® box, press the AVX button to select DSS or LINE 1 in
the step 5, not a channel to be recorded, then turn on the DSS® box
before the time the delayed recording is to begin and tune the DSS® box
to the channel which you want to record.
• If the VCR and DSS® box are connected via a digital A/V cable, press
the AVX or DSS/VCR button in step 5 to display DSS®.
