In print server mode, this parameter is optional, unless your
network uses a communication standard other than IEEE 802.3 or
Ethernet II Novell type 8137, the two most common in Novell
networks.
When booted in print server mode, the Ethernet Card attempts to
log into a file server using IEEE 802.3. If it cannot log in, it
switches to Ethernet II Novell type 8137 and attempts to log in.
If your network uses Ethernet II type 8135: you may want to
configure the Ethernet Card so that the default network protocol
is Ethernet II type 8137. (Because it no longer searches first for
an 802.3 file server, the Ethernet Card then boots faster.) If your
network uses a communication standard other than the two
listed above, you must use this parameter to configure the
Ethernet Card to use the appropriate network communications
standard.
