Global data for milling operations with pocket
cycles 25x
U
Overlap factor:
The tool radius multiplied by the overlap factor
equals the lateral stepover.
U
Climb or up-cut:
Select the type of milling.
U
Plunging type:
Plunge into the material helically, in a reciprocating
motion, or vertically.
Global data for milling operations with contour
cycles
U
Setup clearance:
Distance between tool tip and workpiece surface
for automated approach of the cycle start position in the tool axis.
U
Clearance height
: Absolute height at which the tool cannot collide
with the workpiece (for intermediate positioning and retraction at
the end of the cycle).
U
Overlap factor:
The tool radius multiplied by the overlap factor
equals the lateral stepover.
U
Climb or up-cut:
Select the type of milling.
Global data for positioning behavior
U
Positioning behavior:
Retraction in the tool axis at the end of the
machining step: Return to the 2nd setup clearance or to the position
at the beginning of the working unit.
The parameters apply to milling cycles 251 to 257.
The parameters apply to SL cycles 20, 22, 23, 24 and 25.
The parameters apply to each canned cycle that you call
with the CYCL CALL PAT function.
