Preparing for the replacement
1. Put on an ESD wrist strap, and make sure the wrist strap makes good skin contact and is well
grounded.
2. Remove the blank panel (if any) from the slot to be used and keep the removed blank panel for
future use.
3. Unpack the card to be installed. If the card has a protection cover, remove it first.
Keep the removed protection cover for future use.

Replacement procedure
1. Loosen the captive screws on both sides of the card to be removed.
2. Rotate out the ejector levers to unseat the card from the backplane of the chassis.
3. Slowly pull out the card along the guide rails. Put the removed card on an antistatic mat or into its
original shipping materials.
4. Rotate out the ejector levers. Supporting the card with both hands, gently insert the card into the
slot along the guide rails.
5. Close the ejector levers to fully seat the card in the backplane.
6. Position the screws into the holes and fasten them with a screwdriver to secure the card.
