1. Introduction
General Description
The 1174 Communications Server family is a powerful platform for supporting and managing
diverse networks. The 1174-90S and the 1174-65S Communications Servers support only
LINCS software and are part of the Communications Server hardware family.
Information presented in this manual includes procedures for hardware installation, basic
operating instructions, and assembly removal and replacement instructions for the 1174-65S/
90S Communications Servers.
1174-65S Hardware Components
The following table includes hardware that may be installed in the 1174-65S. Refer to
Chapter 2, Memory Requirements, to determine the maximum number of each dual-port
memory board for installation.
