UH-7000.

5. After completing the setting, click the OK button.
6. Launch Windows Media Player, select an audio file and start

playback.

NOTE

If you change the setting while Windows Media Player is

running, the software will not recognize that the device has

been changed. In this case, restart Windows Media Player.

If you still cannot hear sound after making the settings and

completing the procedures above, restart the computer.

If you make this setting, sound will be output through

this unit, but no sound will be output from the computer’s

speakers or headphone jack.

By default, the mixer pan settings are set to the center (C).

For this reason, sounds playing back will be heard as mono.

Adjust the built-in mixer settings as necessary. (See “MIXER

page” on page 17.)

If you want the Windows Media Player output to be output

from this unit's DIGITAL (AES/EBU) OUT connector without

being affected by the mixer functions, on the MIXER page of

the Mixer Panel, select the Computer 1 and 2 button in the

DIGITAL OUTPUTS SELECT section.

Mac OS X and iTunes

and double-click “Audio MIDI Setup”. Then open the “Audio

Devices” window.

Then, click “Use this device for sound output” in the pop-up

menu.
The speaker mark appears next to UH-7000.

device for sound input” for the “UH-7000’.

3. Launch iTunes, select an audio file and start playback.

NOTE

If you want the iTunes output to be output from this unit's

DIGITAL (AES/EBU) OUT connector without being affected

by the mixer functions, on the MIXER page of the Mixer

Panel, select the Computer 1 and 2 button in the DIGITAL

OUTPUTS SELECT section.

Audio MIDI Setup in OS X Mavericks

(10.9.1)

In OS X Mavericks (10.9.1), this unit will appear as two devices

in the Audio Devices window: “UH-7000 (Bit Accurate)” and

“UH-7000 (Core Audio)”. The “UH-7000 (Bit Accurate)” device,

however, cannot be used for input or output. Use the “UH-7000

(Core Audio)” option.

NOTE

When you can select “UH-7000 (Bit Accurate)” in a DAW or

other application, it will enable recording and playback that

is even more stable.

The “UH-7000 (Bit Accurate)” option cannot be used with

applications downloaded from the Mac App Store. For these

applications, use the “UH-7000 (Core Audio)” option.
