Downloading the Database

Database Setup
To setup a PC database use the standard comma delimited text file.

Use any text editor or application to create a database file.

Use commas and quotes as field delimiters as shown in the sample on the next page.

A quote (“) cannot be part of the field datait is only a delimiter.

Each message field can contain up to 16 characters.
Database Record
There are 3 fields in a database record:
“01234567890512”, “GREEN BEANS”,“16oz $.99”
Each field is in quotes (“ ”) separated by commas (,).
Fields:
1.
The first field is the key containing the data that is searched and matched to the scanned
“data.” (01234567890512 in sample)
2. The second field contains the message entered in the database file; it displays on the first
row of the LCD when the scanned barcode matches the database.
3. The third field contains a message in the database file; it displays on the second row of
the LCD when the scanned barcode matches the database.
