For 3-Out output mode, you will need three such connections to view all of 3P LAY ’s output streams.
For 1-Out output mode, all three of 3P LAY ’s output connections transmit the same stream, selected
by the 3P LAY operator (see Sections 3.4.2 and 6.3.1.1).
1. For downstream video monitoring, connect cables between your downstream devices
(whether monitors or a broadcast switcher) and the appropriate output connectors on
3P
LAY ’s front panel (see Section 4.4.2).
2. Open a 3P LAY session from the Administration Screen, and access the I/O Configuration
panel by clicking the small ‘gear’ icon at upper-right in the titlebar of the 3P LAY Desktop.
3. Set the Output>Video Connection type (see Section 4.4.3) to suit the connected external
monitor(s).

1. Connect the reference signal to the Genlock Input on 3P LAY ’s faceplate.

7.1.5 CONNECT AN EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE?
Connect an external hard drive to one of 3P LAY ’s USB 2.0 ports. Note that the external drive should
probably be formatted using the NTSF file system (the FAT file system chokes on exported files
exceeding 4 Gigabytes, as will often be the case).
