Contraindication:
Telio CS Inlay and Telio CS Onlay
– are unsuitable as temporary crown and bridge materials;
– should not remain in the oral cavity for more than

6 weeks;

– should not be used in patients with a known allergy

to any of its ingredients.

Side effects:
After longer periods of service, the material may demon-
strate discoloration. However, this does not compromise
the performance of the material. In rare cases, Telio CS
Inlay and Telio CS Onlay may cause a sensitizing reaction
in patients with a hypersensitivity to any of the materials’
ingredients. In these cases, the materials should no longer
be used.

Interactions:
Substances containing eugenol/clove oil may inhibit the
polymerization of Telio CS Inlay and Telio CS Onlay. There-
fore, Telio CS Inlay and Telio CS Onlay should not be
applied in combination with zinc oxide-eugenol cements.

Application:
Preparation appointment
1. Prepare, place base or liner and take impression as

usual.

2. Clean cavity with water spray.
3. Isolate prepared teeth; use a matrix (e.g. OptraMatrix)

if necessary.

4. Application of Telio CS Desensitizer (optional):

a) The dentin surfaces should be clean and dry.
b) Apply Telio CS Desensitizer and brush the material

into the dentin for 10 seconds using a suitable instru-
ment (brush, application brush).

c) Carefully disperse excess material/dry with blown air.

5. Place a sufficient quantity of Telio CS Inlay or Telio CS

Onlay into the cavity using a spatula or another suitable
instrument (e.g. OptraSculpt). If you use Cavifils, the
material can be applied directly into the cavity by means
of an application instrument (e.g. Cavifil

®

Injector).

Contour the restoration, leaving minimum excess.

6. Increments of up to 4 mm can be cured in 10 seconds

with a standard curing light (at approx. 650 mW/cm

2

,

e.g. bluephase using the LOP mode).

7. Remove matrix if required.
8. Check occlusion and adjust if required.

Insertion appointment
1. Insert a suitable instrument (e.g. probe/scaler) into the

temporary restoration. Remove Telio CS Inlay or Telio CS
Onlay from the cavity.

2. Subsequently, clean the cavity (e.g. with rubber cups

and oil- and fluoride-free cleaning paste).

3. Try in and cement the permanent restoration in place

(with e.g. Multilink Automix, Variolink II).

Notes:

If Telio CS Inlay / Telio CS Onlay is applied from the
Cavifil directly into the oral cavity of the patient,

we recommend using the Cavifil only once due to
hygienic reasons (prevention of cross-contamination
between patients).

– Do not use oxidizing disinfectants to disinfect syringes

and Cavifils.

– Telio CS Inlay / Telio CS Onlay remains well in place in

standard inlay preparations. If Telio CS Inlay or Telio CS
Onlay is applied to undercuts of the proximal region,
retention can be improved. In this case, do not place a
matrix, but a wooden interdental wedge before apply-
ing Telio CS Inlay / Telio CS Onlay.

– Telio CS Inlay / Telio CS Onlay bonds with light-curing

base/lining materials because of the similar chemical
compositions. If such materials are utilized, isolate the
base with glycerine gel (e.g. Liquid Strip). This prevents
the base/lining from being accidentally removed togeth-
er with Telio CS Inlay / Telio CS Onlay.

– Use silicone finishers (e.g. Astropol F) or tungsten car-

bide finishers for grinding and excess removal. Excess
material may also be removed with a scalpel.

– Telio CS Inlay / Telio CS Onlay can be contoured more

easily by wetting the instrument with Telio CS desensi-
tizer or with an unfilled bonding agent (e.g. Heliobond).
