A.3 Configuration

Commands/Responses

The following commands are used to control and configure specific portions of the
demodulator. Issuing these commands with no parameter will result in the current
configuration being reported. Exceptions are noted in the individual command
description.

A.3.1 Demodulator

Set
Demodulator
Frequency

Command:
Response:

Status:
Response:

<1/DF_nnnn.nn'cr'
>1/DF_nnnn.nn'cr''lf']

<1/DF_'cr'
>1/DF_nnnn.nn'cr''lf']

Where: nnnn.nn = Frequency in MHz, 950.00 to 1550.00 in
10 kHz steps.

Changes the current value of the demodulator frequency.

Set
Demodulator
Code Rate

Command:
Response:

Status:
Response:

<1/CR_xxxx'cr'
>1/CR_xxxx'cr''lf']

<1/CR_'cr'
>1/CR_xxxx'cr''lf']

Where: xxxx = 1/2 (QPSK 1/2), 3/4 (QPSK 3/4), 7/8 (QPSK
7/8), or BP12 (BPSK 1/2).

Changes the current value of the demodulator code rate.

Note: If changing the code rate makes the current data rate
invalid, then the data rate will be reset to 64.000 kbit/s.

Set
Demodulator
Data Rate

Command:
Response:

Status:
Response:

<1/DR_nnnn.nnn'cr'
>1/DR_nnnn.nnn'cr''lf']

<1/DR_'cr'
>1/DR_nnnn.nnn'cr''lf']

Where: nnnn.nnn = Data rate in kbit/s (QPSK 1/2: 9.6 to
2500.0 kbit/s), (QPSK 3/4: 14.4 to 3750.0 kbit/s), (QPSK 7/8:
16.8 to 4375.0 kbit/s), or (BPSK 1/2: 4.8 to 1250.0 kbit/s).

Changes the current value of demodulator data rate.

Set
Demodulator
Code & Data
Rate Variable

Command:
Response:

Status:
Response:

<1/SDRV_xxxx_nnnn.nnn'cr'
>1/SDRV_xxxx_nnnn.nnn'cr''lf']

<1/SDRV_'cr'
>1/SDRV_xxxx_nnnn.nnn'cr'lf']

Where:

xxxx = 1/2 (QPSK 1/2), 3/4 (QPSK 3/4), 7/8 (QPSK 7/8), or
BP12 (BPSK 1/2).

nnnn.nnn = Data rate in kbit/s (QPSK 1/2: 9.6 to
2500.0 kbit/s), (QPSK 3/4: 14.4 to 3750.0 kbit/s), (QPSK
7/8: 16.8 to 4375.0 kbit/s), or (BPSK 1/2: 4.8 to
1250.0 kbit/s).

Changes the current value of both the code and data rates.

Reset Sweep

Command:
Response:

<1/RS_'cr'
>1/RS_'cr''lf']

Resets the demodulator sweep to the starting frequency.

Set Sweep
Reacquisi-
tion Time

Command:
Response:

Status:
Response:

<1/SR_xx'cr'
>1/SR_xx'cr''lf']

<1/SR_'cr'
>1/SR_xx'cr''lf']

Where: xx = 0 to 99 (number of seconds).

Sets the time delay between losing lock and beginning a new
sweep.

Sweep Width
Range

Command:
Response:

Status:
Response:

<1/SWR_nnnn'cr'
>1/SWR_nnnn'cr''lf']

<1/SWR_'cr'
>1/SWR_nnnn'cr''lf']

Where: nnnn = Frequency in kHz, 10 to 1000 in 10 kHz steps.

Sets the range of the sweep. The specified range extends
50% above and below the sweep center frequency.
