Zone Damper Fail

Feedback pot fail-
ure
If you suspect an actuator feedback
failure, replace the actuator with a
known working unit to see if the prob-
lem is corrected. If not, continue to fol-
low troubleshooting procedures for
controller, wiring, etc.
Calibration
routine
failure
Force auto calibrate of the actuator
feedback pot:
A: Remove the communication wire
connector at the Zone Controller.
B. Remove the 24VAC power connec-
tion at the Zone Controller.
C. Replace the 24VAC power connec-
tion at the Zone Controller.
D. Replace the communication connec-
tor at the Zone Controller.
E. The actuator will recalibrate the po-
tentiometer by driving full closed, then
full open, and then start to control. If
the actuator does not drive after restor-
ing the 24VAC power (in Step C) ei-
ther the actuator or the Zone Controller
is bad. If the calibration routine is com-
pleted and the alarm disappears, the
problem may have been an isolated in-
cident caused by a power surge.
Connector
Cable
defective
Check cable by replacing with a known
working cable. Replace if required.
